Realistic advice and resources to prepare for and ace your interviews

Interviewing is one of the most important stages of the application process. I have my interview prep down to a science and I want to help you too! Here are some realistic resources I’ve curated to help you ace your interviews:

πŸ” The Research:

When doing my research for my interviews, I focus on 5 categories:

1. Notes on the role and company
2. Notes on my interviewer
3. What past work experiences of mine are relevant to the role and what are 1- 3 stories from each of these roles that could potentially be an answer to a behavioral question that may be asked?
4. What are things I MUST bring up?
5. What are the questions I want to ask?

You can read my in-depth strategies here (https://lnkd.in/g7z8YaHf) and see a visual of how I organize that information here (https://lnkd.in/gH2S6K78)

πŸ›  The Practice

It takes time to improve your interviewing skills. I recently discovered Nora, a mock interviewing platform created by Intern Guys and I’m a fan of this product! Nora is AI Mock Interviewer that provides customized feedback on technical and behavioral interview questions.

πŸ€— My favorite part about Nora?

You can enter the job title and description of the role you’re applying for and it generates realistic questions that could be asked in your interviews!

All first-time users have access to a free mock interview and I’ve teamed up with Intern Guys to offer my audience 20% for a lifetime of unlimited mock interviews and feedback!

⭐ The Execution and Follow Up

So you’ve done your research, you’ve organized your notes, and you did a mock interview – now it’s time to put all of that hard work into action with a real interview. Between utilizing the STAR method and all of my interview prep notes, I always feel prepared and confident going into my interviews because of the preparation I do beforehand.

When it comes to the post-interview stage, my biggest advice is to ALWAYS ask post-interview questions (here’s a few: https://lnkd.in/dVS2PjjP) and send a thank you follow up email!

Best of luck on your interviews! πŸ€‘
